Music Ministry

Sacred music is not an addition to the liturgy—it is an integral part of it. The Church consistently teaches that singing helps the faithful pray twice, lifting hearts and minds to God and uniting the assembly in a single voice of praise. As Pope Leo recently reminded the Church, when we sing in worship we do more than make music: we proclaim the Word, express our faith, and participate more fully in the sacred mysteries we celebrate together.

Our parish Music Ministry exists to support and enrich the liturgy through beautiful, prayerful, and accessible music. You do not need to read music or have formal musical training to participate. What matters most is a love of music, a willingness to serve, and a desire to take a more active role in the worship life of the parish. Whether you are an experienced musician or someone who simply loves to sing, there is a place for you here.

The mission of the Our Lady Queen of Angels music ministry is to foster and share the God-given talents of musicians who create a deep spiritual atmosphere for worship, lead the congregation in prayerful song, and build community across the parish campuses.

Parish Instrumentalists

In addition to our vocal ensembles, we warmly welcome parish instrumentalists who wish to support the liturgy through their musical gifts. Instrumentalists may serve alongside any of the choirs, or assist as accompanists for individual hymns or special pieces- no singing required.

Whether you are an experienced player or continuing to develop your skills, playing at Mass is a meaningful way to serve the parish while growing as a musician in a supportive, prayerful environment.

  • Instruments especially encouraged: Piano, organ, strings, woodwinds, brass, and other suitable liturgical instruments
  • Level: All ability levels welcome
  • Commitment: Flexible-ranging from occasional participation to regular involvement

If you are looking for a way to enrich your experience with God through music, we encourage you to come join our music ministry. We would love to welcome you-and your gifts- into our Music Ministry!!
