Order of Christian Initiation of Adults

Any adults who are interested in becoming Catholic or making the sacrament of Confirmation are invited to join Our Lady Queen of Angels OCIA Program.

Are you someone or do you know someone who …

  • Has expressed an interest in becoming Catholic?
  • Was baptized as a child, but has not celebrated the Sacraments of Confirmation, Confession and the Eucharist?
  • Is currently unbaptized and wants to grow in spiritual life?
  • Has a different faith background but wants to learn what Catholics believe and why?
  • Is seeking to transform the mind and heart in the love of our Lord?

Our Lady Queen of Angels Parish is pleased to share our Order of Christian Initiation of Adults (OCIA) Program for those adults seeking to join or learn more about the Catholic Church. We offer an opportunity to come together in a small group to learn more about the rich history and traditions of Christian faith. Sessions focus on the teachings, beliefs and experience of the Catholic Church and prepare individuals to celebrate the Sacraments of Baptism, Confirmation and Eucharist during the Easter season.

You are welcome to participate in the process with your questions, your insights and your faith story, in a warm accepting setting. We take new students yearly before the start of the classes.

Registering

Class begins approximately one month after Easter and runs for a full year.

Catechumens and Candidates will receive their sacraments at the following year’s Easter Vigil Mass.

To join the class, you must be 18 years or older.

The class is open to those who want to receive their sacraments, learn about the catholic faith or learn more about their faith.

Last date to join the class is August 1st. Please contact the Parish Office if you are interested in joining.
